Dutch Ng, chief executive of i-Sprint Innovations, said spending on information technology in Thailand was continuing to grow and security systems had an important role to support IT operations and businesses.
He said his company had four key security solutions to support the Thai market.
The AccessMatrix Universal Authentication Server enables organisations to deploy a wide variety of authentication methods to address their business requirements through a single, unified framework.
AccessMatrix Universal Sign-On (USO) provides sign-on automation, enhancing the authentication process and enforcing consistent password management policies across applications. The firm says AccessMatrix USO improves user productivity by simplifying access to all applications through a single authentication while enhancing security by integrating strong authentication mechanisms and proven security practices.
To support and secure enterprises’ single sign-on (SSO), AccessMatrix Universal Access Management (UAM) is a comprehensive Web SSO that includes Web access management, federated SSO, externalised authorisation management, and a hierarchy-based delegated administration system.
To support identity and access management and AccessMatrix Universal Credential Manager (UMC), there is a Privileged Account Activity Management (PAAM) solution with agent-less connectors, visual recording and SSO integration.
Ng said i-Sprint saw Thailand as one of its key markets. Most of the banks here are using the firm’s digital identity-authentication systems. Since the company aims to expand its business to cover all sectors and industries, it needs to have a strong partner with strong capabilities to reach target customers in Thailand, and has appointed DataOne Asia to that end.
The business-expansion plan in Thailand is to be in line with the “Thailand 4.0” policy that has been launched to develop a value-based economy in order to help small and medium-sized enterprises become smart enterprises, and traditional services to become high-value services. The aim is to enhance creativity and innovation through the application of technology.
According to International Data Corporation, digital transformation will have a big influence on IT spending in Thailand. Last year, IT spending here was around Bt400 billion, it is and expected to increase to Bt500 billion by 2020.
Banking, healthcare and manufacturing will be the main sectors driving higher IT spending as businesses will try to utilise IT and innovation to support consumer behaviour and adapt their legacy systems into digital to improve users’ experience, IDC says.
Poonsuk Wattanayingjaroenchai, executive director of DataOne Asia, said the firm had more than 20 years of experience in the financial and banking sector. It will provide i-Sprint security solutions to the healthcare, telecom, financial, insurance and education sectors.
Corporates and other organisations are increasingly giving importance to the development of online services, which also means rising demand for security and digital authentication. The arrival of digital transformation and the Thailand 4.0 policy will oblige corporate enterprises including manufacturers to improve their operations and management while adopting more technologies to assist their working processes and transactions. These will require stronger security systems, especially digital identity systems to authenticate access to data within organisations, DataOne Asia says.
It will provide security solutions via more than 100 resellers nationwide.
The firm expects to be earning annual revenue if around Bt100 million from i-Sprint security solutions within a couple of years. This year, it expects total revenue of about Bt2 billion.
