DTAC signs deals for role in digital promotion
Total Access Communication (DTAC) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with ministries of Digital Economy and Society, Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Commerce, and Education so as to take part in the government’s plan to promote the use of digital technology.
The adoption of such technology aims at strengthening the economy at the grass-roots level, as it is expected to enhance community incomes.
The project will be launched through community digital centres and Agricultural Learning Centres nationwide next month.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society will support the deployment of effective digital infrastructures to all tambon, while the Agriculture Ministry will be responsible for promoting the development of agricultural products in each community as well as introducing innovations for production sustainability.
The Commerce Ministry is in charge of the promotion of e-commerce, while the Education Ministry will play a role in raising the level of life-long learning on digital technology.
DTAC will integrate missions from the four ministries and promote wireless broadband enhancement so that the information and work can be linked in a holistic way, the company says. It will also encourage farmer groups, cooperative groups, small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups, and local enterprises in each community to form e-commerce groups. These e-commerce operators will be able to use digital marketing through the Commerce Ministry’s e-market and other established online channels.
