Bombardier delivers aircraft to Zetta Jet

Bombardier Business Aircraft says its Singapore- based Zetta Jet operation has taken delivery of another Global 6000 ultra-long range business aircraft.
The company says the aircraft, which will be based at Zetta Jet’s Los Angeles hub, combines Global’s smooth ride with a modern cabin environment equipped with internet connectivity.
The delivery represents an option exercised as part of an order for six Global 6000 aircraft announced in December 2015. The keys were handed over in a ceremony at Bombardier Business Aircraft's Global Completion Centre in Montreal.
“We have experienced a period of aggressive growth over the past year and a half, and Bombardier's Global family of aircraft, and more recently the Challenger 650 jets, have been instrumental in propelling us forward and providing the sought-after, luxury experience that our select strata of customers appreciate,” said Geoffery Cassidy, managing director of Zetta Jet. - The Nation

Bali’s Islamic tourism pitch
Bali governor I Made Pangku Pastika has promoted tourism in Bali to convening officials from 57 members of Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
Speaking to the 3rd IDB Member Countries Sovereign Investment Forum in Nusa Dua on Monday, Pastika told the story about Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who spent his vacation in Bali with an entourage of 1,500 people on March 2 after a state visit in Jakarta.
The king actually stayed longer than planned as he extended his holiday by three days until March 12, from March 9 in his initial schedule. “I think the king’s holiday extension will help promote Bali as a safe tourism destination,” Pastika said, adding that the IDB meeting would also promote the province as a site for world-class meetings and conventions.
Tourism Minister Arief Yahya earlier said that King Salman’s footsteps in Bali’s tourism spots will also be recorded and branded “The King Salman Road” to lure visitors, especially from the Middle East. |– The Jakarta Post

Mitsubishi sales rise 23%
Authorised Mitsubishi truck distributor Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) says its sales increased by 23 per cent in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the same period last year.
The total sales up to March this year reached 10,068 units of vehicles, compared to 8,197 units in the same period in 2016, said KTB marketing director Duljatmono as reported by kontan.co.id.
Improved performance of the country’s logistics and plantation sectors helped Mitsubishi’s sales, Duljatmono said, adding Sumatra saw the biggest increase in sales, helped by the price increase of commodities exported from the island. Amid the increase in sales of commercial vehicles, there have been concerns about a possible increase in the rate of non-performing loans, related to loans for commercial vehicle sales. |– The Jakarta Post

VN catfish inspections
Vietnam catfish processors must prepare for the inspection programme of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in order to boost exports into this market.“If Vietnamese producers can meet USDA’s requirement, a huge market in the US awaits them,” according to a recent article on seafoodsource.com. All catfish will be subject to the scrutiny of the USDA from September 1, including pangasius. USDA inspectors will check on all stages of the production chain in Vietnam.
Catfish regulation will shift from the US Food and Drug Agency (FDA) to the USDA from the beginning of September, according to a law passed in 2014. The rules, pushed by the US catfish industry, will come into full force on September 1.
