Thai Gypsum Products is highlighting the concept of “home + nature” in its presentation at a trade fair in Bangkok.

The company, which makes the Gyproc brand, says it is presenting innovative home solutions and decoration ideas in gypsum boards at the Architect ’17 event, which is being held until May 7 at Impact.
The new products are designed for residential (indoor only) use under the concept “Inside-Out Space” at Architect ’17. They include an updated range of gypsum products and integrated design and construction solutions. Gyproc also launch Gypfill Superjoint, which offers a special formula white color. The highlight booth presentation features “the hanging sofa” (weighing around 85 kg), which demonstrates the high-strength drywall performance of Gyproc HabitoTM.
The concept of Inside-Out Space comes from ‘Home + Nature’, which gives clues to balancing living in the future. It is a definition of home which is changing by the use of innovation in materials. The concept demonstrates Gyproc’s high quality approach to gypsum products and latest product innovations including a complete range of gypsum plasterboard, gypsum ceiling tile, metal system components and powder finishing products, as well as lifestyle product solutions. Gyproc’s booth concept will focus not just on private homes but will offer solutions for inspired home theatre suites, children’s rooms, kitchens and working/utility rooms.
The Gyproc booth offers design ideas for visitors to learn how to use gypsum boards to decorate the room at the mock-up display room, featuring products that are thermal resistant, moisture resistant or sound insulated. Products can be used for modern decorative purposes as well as for wall partitioning and ceilings. Gyproc also presents a high-strength drywall solution that has five times the core strength of normal plasterboard. By hanging a sofa on Gyproc HabitoTM, from a total of six chipboard screws with a diameter of 10 mm, it shows that the latest addition to the Gyproc performance board range is designed for convenience in the residential sector. It allows fixing loads of up to 15kg to the wall with five times the durability and damage resistance compared to standard walls.
Richard Juggery, managing director of Thai Gypsum Products, said, “We're delighted to appear as an exhibitor at Architect '17 which is a big international exhibition for construction and building materials. It brings us new customers and gives us an exceptional opportunity to show our market-leading range of solutions.
“Thai Gypsum Products PCL will continue to develop and drive forward the growth of the Thai modern interiors industry in order to support sustainable construction growth in Thailand, and offer innovations for health and sustainability to benefit consumers through the ‘Gyproc 3G’ concept (1) Green Products, 2) Green Solutions, and 3) Green Manufacturing).
“Gypsum wall systems are perfect for interior applications because they are non-load bearing and can meet the requirements for sound insulation and fire resistance, and can also provide heat insulation properties.”
