The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission will invite top influencers and top content providers to hear its plan for regulating over-the-top (OTT) services on June 6 and 7.
Natee Sukonrat, chairman of the NBTC broadcasting committee, said the panel would invite influencers and content providers with more than a million followers to hear and brainstorm about the proposed OTT policy, which would regulate content transmitted over the Internet as a standalone product.
There are around 40 OTT influencers, content providers and other businesses in the country. Those to be invited by the NBTC will include Suthichai Yoon, Khaosod Online, Vuthitorn “Woody” Milintachinda, and Sorayith Sutassanajinda.
Natee said the NBTC expected to complete the public-hearing process next month and that the official announcement of the OTT regulatory policy would take place in July.
