The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the government’s five-year strategy to create manpower for the development of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

It also approved a budget of Bt619.4 million for the strategy, which will be implemented this year.
The strategy will see the development of vocational students living in the EEC area, which spans the provinces of Rayong, Chon Buri and Chachoengsao, to meet both the international standard and the country’s “4.0 Industry Policy”.
This year, the project is expected to create human resources of 20,000 under the strategy, before rising to total 48,500 in five years.
