Samsung Engineering to build two PTT plants

Samsung Engineering has received two contracts from subsidiaries of PTT, the Thailand state-owned oil and gas company.

The contracts which have a combined value of about US$500 million (Bt16.6 billion) were awarded for a petrochemical project and a power generation project located in Rayong, 150 kilometres southeast of.
Samsung Engineering said it would deliver both on an EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) lump-sum turnkey basis. It was anticipated that the power-generation project would be delivered in 2019 and the petrochemical project in 2020.
Samsung Engineering said its track record of delivering 21 projects to Thailand, including 17 projects to PTT group, proved that it had gained the trust of PTT and could deliver world-class plants.
