CA Technologies says companies must be ‘built to change’

Businesses will require a “modern software factory” to give them a competitive advantage and ensure they’re “built to change”, CA Technologies vice president Nick Lim said recently.

Constant digital disruption is affecting decision-makers at all levels, from the corporate suite to those deploying the software, he said.
They have less time than ever to nurture innovation and devise solutions.
All industries need to recognise that software is the key to gaining a competitive advantage, Lim said.
At the recent CA World event, CA Technologies chief excutive Mike Gregoire predicted that successful companies of the future will be “built to change” by putting software at the centre of everything they do.
“Built to change” companies remove friction at every level, are focused on outcomes rather than processes, and practise agile development and lean investment principles, he said.
Most importantly, they’re driven by software and are customer-centric. They optimise the customer journey from product design through the entire customer experience, Gregoire said.
