Dusit Thani College aims for the top

President Sarote Phornprapha said yesterday that the college has focused on providing quality courses that match the industry’s needs to ensure students get placed into jobs and employers get satisfaction.
The college has transformed Dusit Thani Hotel School, its vocational school located near the Siam Paragon shopping mall, into Dusit Thani Excellence Centre (DTEC). The renaming will be on October 1.
DTEC will focus on research and development, product development and molecular gastronomy.
It has started providing a consulting service to corporations and smaller businesses to boost the ratio of non-degree sources of revenue.
Most of the college’s revenue comes from offering bachelor and master degree programmes.
The consulting service already has some startup customers, including food-truck entrepreneurs, and also major customers in the retail sector. Dusit Thani College will also spend about Bt200 million soon to renovate its college. The refurbishment will be finished in October 2019.
The college would continue to seek collaboration with more and more international institutions to enhance its competitive edge.
The college has launched a programme called service innovation in the tourism and hotel business to help advance the government’s Thailand 4.0 policy. 
Its goal is to create and develop an innovation culture, so that students can adapt and adopt an innovative way of thinking in their professional careers.The college produces around 600 graduates at bachelor and master levels a year.
