This year the bank will open 15 branches at a cost of Bt200 million, with the first four SCB Express outlets having opened in August, the bank’s senior executive vice president, head of retail segment and branch network, Sarut Ruttanaporn, said yesterday. The SCB Express concept is a response to the changing behaviour of customers who prefer such services to those found at full-service branches, he said.
“We have 14 million customers, with four million of them using the full-service branches, and the rest using our automatic services at the bank, such as ATM, CDM and VTM,” he said. “As a result, we decided to open automatic-service branches over this year and the next to better serve this demand,” he said.
