STATE UNITS’ HANDOVER MAY SURPASS ESTIMATE
Thai state enterprises, in which the Finance Ministry holds the majority stakes, have handed over to the ministry a total of Bt15.71 billion in July, up 0.3 per cent from the same month last year.
As Bt146.31 billion in the first ten months of the current fiscal year (October 1, 2017-July 31, 2018), a rise of 21 per cent from the same period of the last fiscal year, Prapas Kong-led, director-general of State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) of Finance Ministry said yesterday.
In order of amounts, the Government Lottery Office led the list with Bt33.3 billion in the first ten months, followed by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Bt20.78 billion, and Bt17.5 billion from PTT Plc.
Earlier, the SEPO estimated that state enterprises would collectively hand over to the Finance Ministry about Bt137 billion this fiscal year, but the total for first ten months indicated that it could be higher, he said.
