App holds Bangkok event to recruit drivers

GET, an on-demand service application which is set to launch in Thailand, is commencing its driver recruitment programme today at Warehouse 30 on Chareon Krung 30.

Motorcycle taxi drivers can now become part of the GET movement by registering to become a driver via the website or by attending the company’s first driver recruitment event GET First Meet on August 18-19.
Pinya Nittayakasetwat, GET co-founder, said: “We are excited to be working with all stakeholders to tailor GO-JEK’s world-class technology to suit the needs of Thai drivers and consumers.
"GET is now ready to welcome licensed motorcycle taxi drivers onto our platform. ‘GET First Meet’ will be the first event that allows motorcycle taxi drivers in Bangkok to learn more about GET, as well as to register to be a GET driver.
"They’re more than welcome to bring along their family members to enjoy the event for free.”
The event will have free food, drink, games and mini-concerts from Baitoey R Siam and Kong Huayrai, GET said.
Drivers who join will be entitled to many special privileges, including a chance to win motorcycles and gold necklaces, it added.
GET is managed by a Thai team that has extensive experience in the ride-hailing industry and said it benefits from GO-JEK technology, know-how and investment, which will enable the company to scale up quickly in Thailand.
