Bt1 trn in foreign investments seen

Foreign investors invested a total of Bt950 billion in the Thai bond market in the first nine months of this year, Kasikorn Bank’s head of capital market division Thiti Tantikulanan said yesterday.
He added that strong investments in the bond market is expected to continue in the rest of this year, with foreign investments in Thai bonds expected to reach Bt1 trillion by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, the bank also estimated new bond issues by Thai corporate will reach Bt880 billion this year, up 10 per cent from Bt793 billion last year, he said.
