Thailand's Trade Competition Commission has discussed with state-owned Airports of Thailand (AOT) on bidding for duty-free shops and commercial area concessions for fair competition and optimal gains.
Sakon Varanyuwatana, chairperson of the Trade Competition Commission, said in a recent discussion with AOT President Nitinai Sirismatthakarn, the commission urged the airport authority to consider all factors with regard to the fair trade competition principles and optimal benefits to the country's economy.
“We cannot make intervention but during the talks, the commission has reiterated the principles and has given suggestions on fair competition for optimal benefits," he said.
