Petrol prices to drop 50 satang/litre
The retail price of various types of petrol will be lowered by 50 satang per litre from tomorrow (March 24) following a decision by the Oil Fund Administrative Committee today to cut contribution to the state oil fund by the same amount.
Energy Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong said the committee also cut the contribution of B20 diesel to the fund by 25 satang per litre.
But it raised the contribution of E85 gasahol by 25 satang per litre.
The resolution is aimed at helping ease the cost of living amid the dire Covid-19 situation, the minister said.
