THAI grounded for another month

Thai Airways International (THAI) has had to suspend operations for one more month after the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand announced that it was prohibiting international flights into Thailand until June 30.

However, resumption of flights in July is still under consideration.
THAI is closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation, preventive measures and lockdowns in each country as well as travel demand in order to resume services once the situation improves, the carrier said.
It added that it has measures in place in preparation for a resumption of services. The official schedule will be announced later.
The airline currently operates chartered flights to bring stranded Thais home as well as cargo flights to support local farmers by quickly delivering their agricultural produce.
