Siam Amazing Park draws over 10 potential buyers after early October sale offer

Bangkok’s flood-hit Siam Amazing Park plans a 200–300 million baht recovery and advance annual passes while considering land and business offers.

  • More than 10 potential buyers, including both Thai and foreign investors, have expressed interest in Siam Amazing Park after it was offered for sale.
  • The sale offer, announced in early October, lists the 250-rai (40-hectare) property for approximately 10 billion baht.
  • Proposals from interested parties vary, with some wanting to buy only the land while others are looking to acquire the entire company to continue its operations.

Siam Amazing Park in Bangkok is planning its flood recovery while considering approaches from more than 10 Thai and foreign potential buyers following an early October 2026 offer to sell its land. Wuthichai Luangamornlert, managing director of operator Siam Park City Co Ltd, told Bangkok Biznews that management was pursuing both options.

Dr Chaiwat Luangamornlert, the park’s founder and executive chairman, announced in early October that the 250-rai site, equivalent to 40 hectares, could be sold for about 10 billion baht. Wuthichai said his father had instructed the family to restore normal operations while considering purchase proposals on acceptable terms.

More than 10 investors approach Siam Amazing Park

Wuthichai said more than 10 interested parties, including property developers and investors from Thailand and overseas, had contacted him, his siblings or his father about Siam Amazing Park. Some wanted to buy only the land, while others proposed acquiring the company to operate and develop the business.

Wuthichai outlined a possible move for Siam Amazing Park’s rides if only the land is sold: “We would like to relocate the rides somewhere not far from Bangkok.”

Wuthichai said specialists first needed to assess whether repairing Siam Amazing Park’s flooded rides, moving them or buying replacements would be most cost-effective. He put their cumulative value, built up over more than a decade, at about 2–3 billion baht.

Siam Amazing Park rides await overseas safety checks

Siam Amazing Park’s amusement park zone is still expected to remain closed for about six months from the flooding, Wuthichai said. Engineers and specialists from overseas must formally inspect the rides’ safety systems before operations can resume.

Damage assessments at Siam Amazing Park have found that the severity varies across the site, according to Wuthichai. Management will prioritise areas that can be repaired and restored most quickly.

Siam Amazing Park facilities that the company can repair itself, such as the scout camp, could reopen sooner than previously expected, Wuthichai explained. Repairs to the water park are planned to begin as soon as the rainy spell passes.

The Bangkok World buildings at the front of Siam Amazing Park sustained relatively limited damage because their floors were elevated, according to Wuthichai.

Siam Amazing Park plans 200–300 million baht recovery

Siam Park City estimates its repair and restoration budget at 200–300 million baht, subject to consultations with overseas specialists, Wuthichai said. Demolishing and rebuilding some areas may prove more economical than repairing them.

The total losses at Siam Amazing Park are estimated at about 500 million baht, Wuthichai explained. The figure includes lost business opportunities during the closure over the October school holidays, the December high season and the New Year holiday period.

Siam Park City has divided its borrowing plan into two phases, according to Wuthichai. A loan proposal for initial restoration has already been submitted to financial institutions, while the second phase would cover the remaining work; discussions are expected to conclude by late October or early November 2026.

Siam Amazing Park plans to sell annual passes in advance for 1,000 baht to generate cash in addition to the bank loans it is pursuing, Wuthichai said. The passes would become valid only when the park actually reopens, allowing people who want to support the business to do so without the company seeking donations.

Siam Amazing Park employs more than 300 people and has encouraged staff to find other paid work during the closure, according to Wuthichai. The company intends to call employees back when it is ready to reopen.

Wuthichai proposes flood simulations for Bangkok districts

Wuthichai called on the government to use technology to develop flood-warning simulations showing likely impacts at district or subdistrict level. He argued that more precise local information would help businesses and residents plan their response and move assets in time.

Current weather forecasts do not provide enough detail for businesses and residents to understand how their own areas may be affected, Wuthichai argued.

“Bangkok covers a very large area. Without flood warnings broken down by district or subdistrict, the picture is too broad, and when problems arise, large numbers of people are affected,” Wuthichai said.
