The Udon Thani Sangha ordered Phra Kasem to leave the monkhood following the appearance of a YouTube clip and a TV news report featuring allegedly rude and inappropriate behaviour by the monk, as well as the launch of a Royal Forestry Department probe into his monastery’s use of forestland, Surawit said. The RFD would not allow him to use the location as a monastery any longer, he said.
