The Foreign Ministry will propose the cabinet on October 18 to continue the 2001 memorandum of understanding (MOU) on maritime deal in the Gulf of Thailand, the ministry's spokesman Thani Thongpakdi said Monday.
The ministry’s internal meeting chaired by Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul yesterday concluded the MOU is a useful framework for negotiation with Cambodia over the maritime resources in the overlapping claimed continental shelf, he said.
