Prawit made Parliamentary Ombudsman

The Senate yesterday appointed Prawit Ratanapien as a new Parliamentary Ombudsman by a vote of 109 to 4.
Senators backed Prawit in a closed-door meeting, except for four who abstained. The vote took about half an hour.
Prawit is a veteran MP and was science minister during the Thaksin government. He will replace Pramote Chotemong-kol, whose term has expired.
