Zero-interest loans for teachers

Education Minister Worawat Uaapinyakul said yesterday that the ministry approved Bt700 million in interestfree loans to teachers needing to repair their flooddamaged homes or for other urgent requirements.
The budget came from the teachers’ lifedevelopment fund. The Teachers and Educational Personnel Council now is working on the loan criteria.
Teachers interested in applying for a loan should contact the council’s or their educational zone’s offices, Worawat said.
