Labour Ministry provides 25,000 jobs for laid-off workers

The Labour Ministry has prepared 25,000 positions of job vacancy to support the people who became jobless due to the flood disaster, said Employment Department directorgeneral Prawit Kiangphon Tuesday.

The laid-off workers could immediately start these new jobs – available in Rayong, Chon Buri, Prachin Buri and Samut Prakan, he said adding that the agency would soon host job fairs and some short-term vocational training for people at flood relief shelters, as well as kicking off the government-to-government labour projects starting from one with Israel which needed 5,000 farm workers.
