RFD builds rafts for flood-hit Bangkokians

Forestry officials from Protected Areas Regional Office 11 are assembling 1,000 rafts for Bangkok flood victims. Some areas in the capital are under one or two metres of water, but all rubber dinghies have been sold out.

The rafts from the Royal Forest Department are two-square-metres in size and can carry up to 200 kilograms. The rafts will first be tested on Nan River before they are sent to Bangkok.
