PAD calls off plan rally
People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) called off its planed rally against a royal pardon for Thaksin Shinawatra's as the government made clear there was no such move to help the former premier, spokesperson Panthep Puapongpan said Monday.
As long as Justice Minister Pracha Promnok announced earlier that fugitive Thaksin would not benefit from the draft Royal Decree seeking pardons for inmates on the occasion of His Majesty the King's birthday, the PAD saw no point to call the rally, he said.
