Wall St ends lower

U.S. stocks closed lower in a thin, volatile session overnight amid concerns over EU debts crisis and US economic growth outlook

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 53.59 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 11,493.72

The S&P 500 edged down 4.94 points, or 0.41 percent, to finish at 1,188.04.
Most S&P sectors finished lower, led by energy and utilities.

The Nasdaq slipped 1.86 points, or 0.07 percent, to end at 2,521.28.
