11 southern provinces warned of heavy rains, flash floods

Residents of 11 southern provinces were warned to brace themselves for heavy rains and possible flash floods on Friday and Saturday.
The Meteorological Department said the 11 provinces to be hit by heavy rains include Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Chumphon, and Surat Thani.
The department said the period would also see rough sea with waves ranging from two to four metres high.
