Four Khmer inmates extradited

Sa Kaew authorities Wednesday extradited four Cambodian drug offenders through Sa Kaew's Aranyaprathet border checkpoint to serve the rest of their jail terms in Cambodia - following a request from both Cambodia and the inmates.

Sa Kaew prison director Kittipat Dechapahul said it was the country’s first inmate extradition through a local border checkpoint.
The extradition was held at border district of Aranyaprathet, which is adjacent to Battambang province of Cambodia.
The two female inmates had served 14 years in Sa Kewa Prison out of their 37-year jail term to serve, while the two males were each given a 35-year jail term and had 12 years to serve in Cambodia.
