Dozens hurt as bus overturns

More than 20 passengers were injured late on Friday night when a Nakhon Si Thammarat-bound public bus overturned in wet weather in Phetchaburi. Rescue workers took 20 injured passengers to Phrachomklao Hospital, and five others to Muangphet Thonburi Hosp
The bus picked up passengers in Bangkok at 8.30pm, according to the cabin attendant. As it arrived in Phetchaburi, rain started and the road became slippery. When a 10-wheel truck in front of the bus suddenly braked, the driver, identified only as Alongkorn, did the same, but lost control and the bus overturned.
Alongkorn fled the scene. Police said they were looking for the man, who faces a charge of negligent driving resulting in injury to others.
The bus is operated by Nakhon Si Romyen Tour company.
