Wall St ends mixed

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended down 1.44 points, or 0.01 per cent at 12,981.51.
The S&P 500 rose 1.85 points, or 0.14 per cent to end at 1,367.59, best close since June 2008.
Among the key S&P sectors, banks and consumer discretionary closed in positive territory, while energy slipped.
The Nasdaq composite gained 2.41 points, or 0.08 per cent to close at 2,966.16, best finish since December 2000.
