Nadal makes winning return after one month off

Indian Wells, California - World number two Rafael Nadal bolted out of the blocks in his first match in six weeks, winning five games in 18 minutes Sunday on his way to a 6-1, 6-3 defeat of Leonardo Mayer.
Nadal showed top form in his 75-minute victory as the 10-time Grand Slam winner ended his February pause in dominating style.
"I'm very happy to be back in competition - that's the first thing," said the Spaniard, who has reached the semi-finals or better in his last six appearances at Indian Wells.
"I enjoy a lot playing this tournament. It's nice to be back playing at the very good level, and winning is the most important thing. It's not easy to be back after a while without competition, but I did, I believe, really well. I started the match very focused, very aggressive."//DPA
