U.S. stocks closed mixed in lackluster trade overnight as investors prefer to stay on the sideline amid ongoing concerns over euro zone and ahead of Friday's monthly jobs report.
However, all three major averages logged their worst decline this year for this week
Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 14.61 points, or 0.11 per cent, to close at 13,060.14, dropping for a third-straight session.
S&P 500 erased 0.88 points, or 0.06 percent, to end at 1,398.08.
Most key S&P sectors ended lower for the week, led by energy, while techs squeezed out a small gain.
Nasdaq composite added 12.41, or 0.40 per cent, to close at 3,080.50.
