A fourth-year Pohchang College student was wounded by rival students of another college while travelling to school on a No 82 bus in Bangkok's Bukkhalo subdistrict yesterday, police said.
Responding to an assault report at 9am, police rushed to the mouth of Soi Suksawat 12 to find Yutthapong Nianhom, 25, with knife wounds to his arms and a gunshot wound to the chest. He was sent to Bang Pakok 1 Hospital.
Initial reports say eight students of a vocational college in the Tha Phra area were on the bus when Yutthapong, in his school uniform, got on at Soi Suksawat 10. The group picked on him, then followed Yutthapong to the front of the bus and attacked him. After a cry of “police!” the students reportedly shot Yutthapong and then fled towards Soi Suksawat 10.
