Germany will go up against Spain in Euro final : Lin Ping

Lin Ping, the most popular panda in Thailand, on Wednesday picked Spain and Germany as the most likely teams to meet in the final round of Euro 2012.

 

The three year-old panda, who was born in Chiang Mai zoo, was presented with two separate balls with the national flags of Germany and Italy on them. She was seen hurriedly walking to the ball with the German flag and didn’t even glance at the ball bearing the Italian flag. She later played with the German flag.
She was next present with balls bearing the Spanish and Portuguese flags. This time Lin Ping plays first with the Spanish ball before moving on to that of Portugal. The prediction was that the competition would be fierce but that Spain will win.
Lin Ping was correct in her prediction that Spain would win the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
During the World Cup, Paul the Octopus living in the Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany became internationally famous after his feeding behaviour was used to correctly predict the winner of each of the German national football team's seven matches in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as well as the outcome of the final.
