Parcels with 400 kgs of illicut drugs intercepted in Hat Yai
Parcels packed with ammunition and illicit drugs were Friday intercepted at Songkhla's Hat Yai Post Office before they reached their destinations in the deep South.
Security officials seized a total of 51 parcel boxes.
In them were more than 400 kilogrammes of illicit drug, 1,500 rounds of ammunition for .22mm guns, 50 rounds of .38mm guns and 100 rounds of 9mm guns.
The relevant authorities are now tracking down the senders and intended recipients, who are believed to have some links to drug traffickers and insurgents in the three southernmost provinces.
