House reconvenes with 494 MPs

The House has reconvened with 494 of 500 MPs, Speaker Somsak Kiatsuranont said on Wednesday.
After acknowledging the royal decree to call the House into session following recess, Somsak asked for a one-minute silence as MPs stood in memory of Sathaporn Maneerat (Pheu Thai, Lamphun) who passed away on July 14.
He then informed that Rak Thailand MP Phongsak Ruanngoen had resigned effective as of today.
Three MPs, Pheu Thai’s Distad Khumprakob, Bhum Jai Thai’s Ochit Kiatkaichuchai and Democrat Chatraphan Detkitsunthorn, have been suspended from duty pending separate judicial reviews on campaign violations.
