Demcrat cries foul over appointment of Thida to education planning panel

The Democrat Party Friday cried foul over the appointment of red-shirt movement leader Thida Thavornsent as a member of a panel in charge of planning national education strategy.

Democrat spokesman Chavanon Intharakomalsut said the appointment of Thida, chairwoman of the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), was unacceptable as the red-shirt leader could poison the mind of students and youths.
The Democrat spokesman said Thida should have not been appointed to the sub-committee on education planning because she harbours attitude detrimental to the nation and she has been campaigning against Article 112 of the Criminal Code.
