A Nakhon Phanom woman was nabbed with 200,000 yaba tablets worth Bt6 million at Bangkok’s Mor Chit Bus Terminal, city police chief Pol Maj-General Khamronwit Thoopkrachang said yesterday.
The arrest of 30-year-old Rassami Utsaha followed the August 22 arrest of Prayuth Tharakhajad, 32, with 40,000 yaba tablets in a Bang Khun Tien mall after Prayuth was hired by the “Jae Nang Thapaeng” network to transport drugs from Nakhon Phanom to Bangkok in exchange for Bt100,000. The investigation found that another lot of yaba would be transferred to Mor Chit, leading police to search Rassami, who had been acting suspiciously, at 10pm on August 24, and find the drugs. Rassami confessed she was hired for Bt4,000 to transport the drugs for the same network.
