Wall St ends mixed

US shares closed flat in thin trading overnight following disappointing global economic reports.
Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 18.97 points, or 0.14 per cent at 13,596.93.
S&P 500 fell 0.79 points, or 0.05 per cent to end at 1,460.26.
Among the key S&P sectors, industrials and financials shares finished lower, while consumer staples managed small gains.
Nasdaq composite lost 6.66 points, or 0.21 per cent at 3,175.96.
