Wall St ends mixed

U.S. stocks closed mixed but better-than-expected manufacturing data limited losses.
Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 77.98 points, or 0.58 per cent at 13,515.11.
S&P 500 edged up 3.82 points, or 0.27 per cent at 1,444.49. Among the key S&P sectors, consumer staples led, while utilities and techs sagged.
Nasdaq compostie fell 2.70 points, or 0.09 per cent to 3,113.53.
