Wall St ends down

US stocks closed sharply lower across the board overnight, with Dow Jones posting its worst one-day drop since June, pressured by several discouraging quarterly results and renewed concerns over Spain's weak economy.

Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 243.36 points, or 1.82 percent to 13,102.53.

S&P 500 fell 20.71 points, or 1.44 per cent to 1,413.11. All key S&P sectors closed in the red on materials and energy.
Nasdaq composite fell 26.50 points, or 0.88 per cent to 2,990.46.
