Wall St ends up

U.S. stocks closed up on better-than-expected economic reports as U.S. east coast continues to recover after Hurricane Sandy.

Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 136.16 points,or 1.04 per cent at 13,232.62

S&P 500 advanced 15.43 points, or 1.09 pe rcent to 1,427.59.

Nasdaq rallied 42.83 points, or 1.44 per cent to 3,020.06.

Most key S&P sectors were higher, led by materials and techs, while utilities lagged.
