Drawing contest on gender equality

Partners of the United Nations Girls' Education Initiative, East Asia and the Pacific and South Asia are pleased to invite entries for the fourth drawing contest on promoting gender equality in education.

The contest is open to all nationalities and residents in Asia-Pacific who are 18 years of age or under. To enter, submit a drawing that shows what you think a teacher can do to ensure girls and boys benefit equally from quality education.
Each participant may submit only one drawing.
All entries must be received by November 30. Winners will be announced in December.
Drawings must be A4 size and can be in colour or black and white. You can use any materials you like such as crayons, pencils and paint.
Fifteen winning drawings will be featured in a notebook and a lesson plan for teachers produced by the UN Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI), which will be distributed widely throughout the region.
Each contest winner will receive a certificate of merit and three copies of the notebook and their drawing will be posted on the organisers’ websites.
All entries will be used by UNGEI partner agencies in their publications, presentations, websites and promotional and advocacy materials.
