Dtac readies network for NY countdown
Total Access Communication (Dtac) is ready to provide services to all customers wishing to send New Year 2013 wishes and messages to families, friends and acquaintances.
To ensure smooth transmission and connection, Dtac has mobile units for signal enhancement in the top New Year countdown locations across the country. In addition, it has already completed the 2G and 3G network upgrade nationwide.
“Sending New Year greetings and messages via smartphones is becoming increasingly popular among users as they can easily access social network sites and send any messages via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, WhatsApp, LINE, Instagram, EyeEm, BBM. These online channels are becoming more popular than traditional means of sending New Year greetings. dtac has just completed upgrading its nationwide new network. As a result, the quality of this new network is currently being augmented by the optimization of more than 10,000 2G site stations and over 5,000 3G site stations throughout the country," said Darmp Sukontasap, chief corporate affairs officer.
Anticipating heavier use of cell phones and message and content-related services during New Year celebrations, Dtac has increased connection capacity to ensure smooth and efficient services in areas where countdown events or public celebrations or gatherings are expected. It has also formed a special team to look after connection and transmission issues that might arise during this festive season. The team members will take turns working around the clock to ensure that if any problem arises, it will get solved immediately. All this is to ensure the best service for Dtac customers.
