Constitutional Court to decide next Wednesday whether to hold hearings for Article 68 case

The Constitutional Court is scheduled to debate next Wednesday whether to hold hearings in the case of Article 68-amendment.

The judges will hold a meeting at 9:30 am to decide whether the court would summon the complainants and defendants to testify to the court or whether to consider the case right away by considering the petitions and the charter.
Four petitions were submitted to the court, alleging Parliament President Somsak Kiartsuranon and 312 MPs and senators of violating the charter by passing the first reading of the bill seeking to amend Article 68.
The court has decided to review the four petitions in one case.
