With the king’s royal endorsement the sworn-ceremony, the fifth Cabinet line-up of the Yingluck-led government has now taken effect.
Yingluck and most new Cabinet members met at the Government House Sunday afternoon for a group photo before heading to the Siriraj Hospital.
Chalerm Yoobamrung, a former deputy prime minister, was not present at the group photo. He joined Yingluck and other Cabinet members at the hospital.
The sworn-in ceremony was a must for the prime minister and her Cabinet.
Yingluck earlier yesterday cut short her official visit to an immigration check point and a temple in Mukdaharn and flew back to Bangkok for the ceremony.
Before leaving for Bangkok, the PM visited Phu Thai community and homestay tourism in Makdaharn’s Nongsung district. The villagers there carried out the traditional welcoming ceremony of the Bai Sri Su Kwan for Yingluck to ward off bad luck and bring on prosperity.
