EC to endorse Tankhun Jitt-itsara

Election Commission chairman Apichart Sukhagganond said yesterday the EC is expected to endorse Democrat MP-elect Tankhun Jitt-itsara as the new Member of Parliament for Don Muang in Bangkok, in accordance with the 30-day deadline.
The EC would, meanwhile, continue its investigation into complaints against the result of the June 16 by-election.
Under Thai election law, the investigation must be completed within one year.
