Preparation for Saha Farms' payments

Two police battalions will be stationed at Saha Farms' poultry processing plant in Phetchabun on Monday when over 2,000 migrant workers come to pick up their back wages and allowances in cash.

Fire extinguishers will be ready in the event of any commotion, Pol Col Attasit Sudsanguan, second commander of Phetchabun, said yesterday after a meeting with the company’s representatives.
Workers with ATM cards can start withdrawing the money at 10am.
Two weeks ago, the foreign workers staged a mass protest against the company’s decision to shut down the plant and its failure to pay them in full.
