Wall St ends up

U.S. stocks finished slightly higher in sluggish trading, with Dow and S&P 500 closing at new highs for third-straight session amid mixed economic data ahead this week's  earnings reports.
Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 19.96 points at 15,484.26 to within 60 points from all-time high of 15,542.40 of May 22.
S&P 500 added 2.31 points at 1,682.50. Among key S&P sectors, telecoms led the laggards, while utilities edged higher.
Nasdaq composite gained 7.41 points at 3,607.49.
