Warrant out for suspected rubber-protest killer

A court has approved an arrest warrant for a man suspected of shooting two guards at a rubber farmers' protest in Nakhon Si Thammarat on Sunday.

One of those shot was killed, while the other escaped with injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Kiatisak “Kom” Jankong, 32, a resident of Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Chu-uat district, where the rally over the falling price of rubber has been ongoing for weeks.
Kiatisak is wanted on charges of premeditated murder, unauthorised possession of a gun and ammunition, and several other counts related to the shooting.
