Whip has yet to table report

The government has submitted its performance report, as required by the Constitution, but the government whip has yet to put it on parliamentary agenda, Parliament President Somsak Kiatsuranont said yesterday.

There was no penalty identified in the law for this, said Somsak, who noted that the previous government was also late.
Senators and opposition Democrats have pressed the government to outline its accomplishments to Parliament, as failure to do so may be a breach of the charter.
On Sunday, former president of the Constitutional Court, Wasan Soypisudh, warned the government against neglecting its duty to declare its achievements to Parliament each year.
After assuming power in August 2011, the Yingluck Shinawatra government has not read its first-year review to Parliament, which it must do annually.
